After a couple delays, we've finally got the go-ahead for installing lifeboat!

 

Roof on and shade structure finally painted...

Wow, that yellow is bright!

 We've taken delivery of the vinyl graphics-wrapped lifeboat...

Welding the suspension nuts to the purlins today...

...as we wait for the fancy in-ground lighting we didn't specify...

Spring has arrived with a riotous chorus...

 Heavy stainless steel threaded rod will suspend the boat from a ceiling purlin...

...via welded hex hi-nuts...

We're making headway with fabrication now...

Building the structural framework with aluminum channel...

Welding the cross-brackets to the central spine...

 ...and attaching the structural flanges to the hull with epoxy and rivets.
